The training was attended by gender equality advisers from municipalities of Adjara and Samegrelo, members of local representative bodies – Sakrebulos, employees of local administrations and members of the Supreme Council of Adjara.

Training participants considered sexual and reproductive health as a strategy furthering gender equality and viewed ways of integrating that strategy in gender equality action plans of local authorities. They analyzed the state policy in the respective sphere and discussed future recommendations.

The training was held within the framework of Hera XXI’s project “Reproductive Health – Choice of Women”. The project aims to give women an opportunity to make free and informed choice and ensure accessibility of quality reproductive health services.

We believe that healthy, educated and successful women play a pivotal role for development of a holesome society free from gender stereotypes.
