Association HERA XXI conducted concluding event of one-month learning-course for beginner journalists in the Georgian National University.

On 23th of December, Association HERA XXI conducted concluding event of one-month learning-course for beginner journalists. Course aimed to inform students from the faculty of Journalism on reproductive health and rights in order to help them prepare interesting and high-quality journalist products above mentioned topics during their future professional work. Trainings were conducted by relevant field experts. At the concluding meeting participants were awarded with certificates.

Within the course, students received exact and detailed information on reproductive health issues. The trainings were held with active discussion: the beginner journalists discussed the importance of relevantly delivering these issues to society; How to put a right accents during informational coverage what is the role of media in formation of healthy public opinion and on the contrary, What threads may raise during the ignorance of these issues or inaccurately media coverage.
This course was implemented in collaboration with the Georgian National University. From 2018, the scope of the project is going to grow and will include more beginner journalists from different universities in Georgia.

It should be mentioned, that delivering the right information and healthy values to the society has been one of the main priorities of the association „Hera XXI“. Taking this aspect into the consideration we have conducted various trainings and workshops for active and future journalists.
