Association HERA XXI contributes to the formation of young activist leaders and their involvement in various activities and campaigns planned by the organization. Presently more than 1000 volunteers and activists are involved in the process of planning and implementation of various activities. Young people acquire knowledge and work experience, develop various skills.

Youth Group

Youth groups of Association HERA XXI continue their work with new members with a renewed strategy.

The main aim of their work is to help create the relevant environment for the full development of the youth where they will be able to fully realize their own potential and get actively involved in all spheres of public life, highlight the issues of sexual and reproductive health  and  rights in order to increase the participation of the youth in the process of decision making  and implementation at an organizational, as well as national level.

Young people selected within the program framework are engaged in the activities of the organization, in the process of planning  and implementation of various types of informational and educational or entertaining and cognitive activities.  The main priority of the Association HERA XXI is to create friendly atmosphere for the youth and ensure their involvement in the organizational activities.

Currently the youth groups of Association HERA XXI are actively working in the capital of Georgia, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Imereti and Samegrelo regions.


Peer education is the process when well-trained and motivated people conduct informal educational activities with their peers. These activities are aimed at developing their knowledge, attitudes and skills via their peers since there is trust between them, they have common interests, they speak common language and they have common social demands.

By applying “peer to peer” methodology Association HERA XXI has trained 463 young persons and held 5205 informational and educational meetings with the youth in Tbilisi and the towns and villages of Imereti, Kakheti, Samegrelo, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Kvemo Kartli.
