Association Hera XXI joins the campaign to end violence against women under the motto #გადავწყვიტემეთქვა (I’ve decided to speak up). The campaign starts on November 25 and ends on December 10 – International Human Rights Day.

November 25 was designated as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women to commemorate the two Mirabal sisters who were ordered slain by Dominican Republic dictator Rafael Trujillo in 1960. On November 25, 1981, Latin American women and their supporters marched to condemn violence against women, and since 1999, the UN has been dedicating the two weeks following November 25 to different activities aimed against gender-based violence.
🔸The official colour of the campaign is orange and different countries and individuals use the colour to express their solidarity with women – victims of violence.

🔸Hera XXI volunteers collect stories of women-victims of violence from all over the country. We look for people who have experienced gender-based violence and are willing to share their experience with others and make their voices sound louder.
